HOW DOES SHELTON DG DIFFER TOO MANY OF OUR NEAREST COMPETITORS?

      ۞ WE AIM TO PROVIDE THE MOST ABLE AND FLEXIBLE OF INTERNATIONAL TEACHERS FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE

The management and support staff work very hard to attract and keep International teachers in place for as long as possible. We observe, monitor and provide extensive guidelines that are designed to provide our teachers with as much support as possible.This helps our teachers to deliver a more cohesive, informed and considerate standard of teaching. We have found that our teachers have chosen to stay for longer and longer periods - because we provide them with a high level of support.

      ۞ WE USE METHODOLOGY FROM PROFESSIONAL SYSTEMS IN THE UK, CANADA AND AUSTRALIA, AND TEND TO AVOID SUBSTANDARD METHODS PROVIDED BY THE MAJORITY OF ESL CENTRES IN VIETNAM.

Shelton DG has two dedicated Curriculum managers who use International methodology to deliver a innovative method of English language training – based on the ideas and standards that are outlined within the inherent struture of the UK National Curriculum (PGCE/QTS).

      ۞ WE DESIGN AND UPDATE LEARNING MATERIALS THAT CORRELATE WITH THE TIENG ANH EXAMINATIONS.

We have designed unique and purpose-built Tieng Anh Textbooks that draw on culturally relevant examples, and are structured to aid pupils with vocabulary, comprehension, pronunciationand fluency. Our schemes of work also contain content that is relevant to the IELTS system of English language testing. This means that our teachers can provide ESL training that helps contribute to student’s performance within the Tieng Anh system of testing, but also helps them to take the next step up to the more demanding IELTS qualification.

      ۞ WE ARE WORKING HARD TO EXPAND AND INTENSIFY THE QUALITY OF OUR IELTS TRAINING.

We provide our own series of IELTS textbooks that are broken down into lessons that contain all four key skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. These textbooks also draw on culturally relevant examples and they’re designed to help students deal with the complex and sophisticated demands of the IELTS system. Vietnamese students need to consider taking either the IELTS or TOEFL System of education because many of the better university courses and employment opportunities require a minimum level 6 in IELTS to be able to attend the course or pass the interview stage.

      ۞ WE CONDUCT REGULAR AND RIGOUROUS INSPECTION AND TESTING OF ALL ASPECTS OF OUR ESL TRAINING.

Finally we are working hard to establish a full testing and inspection system, based on the OFSTED inspection regime in the UK; a particularly demanding and notoriously detailed system of tracking both the students and teachers performance in the classroom. The system is designed to help parents and managers to make informed decisions in regards to the work that is done in the classroom, and this detailed method of inspection tends to result in an improved level of performance across all areas of the curriculum.
